Bonjour, I am an American in Paris! Well, spiritually, at least - I have lived there in the past and will again soon.  This blog willl be about people anywhere - who like all things French. The food, the culture, the Cafes, the history, - well, the entire French experience. If you fit the above description - put a note here as a Comment. Mistie, Yes, they are charmingly familiar, all the qualities you describe. Your mention of "the light" is particulary intriguing. Many people forget that painters from all over the world came to France for the LIGHT. Vincent van Gogh among them. The stunning quality of light is especially evident in Spring and Autumn. Merci!
